Greta Wade – Healthcare Workers Agent
Greta is a lifelong Alaskan who has worked in various clinical roles throughout her 23-year nursing career. Serving the people on the Seward Peninsula in Nome as a Public Health Nurse, providing emergent care in the Emergency Room on the Navajo Reservation, and caring for community members in Juneau as a hospice and home health nurse, Greta is familiar with the joys and challenges of being on the front line.
In addition, she has also worked with colleagues to improve the quality of care at hospitals throughout Alaska working as the Quality Director at the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association and later as the Risk Manager at a community-owned hospital in Juneau.
In her free time, Greta can be found cheering in the stands at local rinks, swimming laps at Sand Lake, or hiking on trails throughout our amazing state. Her ‘perfect day’ consists of nothing more than fresh air and lively conversation over a homemade meal with friends and family.
She is excited to support the work you do every day at Alaska Regional Hospital. Whether you are an RN, CNA, or Service Worker; Greta is working for you along with the Laborers Local 341 team. Please take a moment and introduce yourself to Greta when you see her on campus.
