Brandon Calcaterra – President / Assistant Business Manager

Brandon CalcaterraMy family and I moved to Alaska in 1988.  I graduated from the University of Alaska, Anchorage with a BA in Management Information Systems.

In early 2006, my wife Heather and I were planning our own family.  Having consulted for the Laborers since 1998, I was very aware at the quality of life Union members had through decent wages and benefits.  I have been a member of Laborers’ Local 341 since 2006 and have enjoyed working with our membership to continue developing today’s workforce into a much safer, more efficient, and better Alaska.

I joined the Executive Board in January of 2015 and am currently the President.  Most recently, I have become the Assistant Business Manager as of January 2021.  I was appointed as a Trustee to our benefit plans in January, 2016 and take the responsibility seriously and with the utmost honor and respect.  I am extremely excited to work alongside the Board of Trustees to ensure our benefit plans remain healthy for generations to come.

Heather and I now live in Eagle River and have three beautiful daughters, Alyssa, Mylie and Josie.  We both love Alaska and the adventures it brings.

The General Membership Meetings are the second Monday of each month beginning at 8:00pm at the Union Hall in Anchorage.

The Alaska Laborers’ Training School publishes its course schedule in the Fall of each year. Please review and submit the Training Application online.
